Congressman Paul Ryan's budget plan had barely hit the street when the moaning and wailing echoed down Pennsylvania Avenue between Capitol Hill and the White House. Predictably, as now happens in our everyone-is-a-reporter-or-commentator society, Ryan's plan is either the salvation we've been waiting for or the end of the Republic as we know it. The details of the plan should and will be debated down to the last semi-colon by every lobbiyst on K Street, but it's the boldness with which Ryan has staked his claim, not on minutia, but on principles that should be applauded....
